Ingredients
– 2 New York strip steaks (about 1 inch thick)
– 2 lobster tails (6 to 8 ounces each)
– 4 large baking potatoes
– 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed
– 4 tablespoons butter
– 1/4 cup sour cream
– 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
– 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
– 2 tablespoons olive oil
– Salt and pepper to taste
– Fresh chives, chopped for garnish
Instructions
1. Preheat the grill to high heat to get those steaks and lobster tails sizzling.
2. Give those potatoes a good wash, then poke them all over with a fork. Pop them in the microwave on high for about 10 minutes, or until they’re nice and tender. Once they’re cooked, set them aside to cool down.
3. Once the potatoes have cooled, split them open and fluff up the insides with a fork. Top each one with a generous dollop of butter, a spoonful of sour cream, a sprinkle of cheddar cheese, and a generous helping of crumbled bacon. Stick them back in the microwave for another minute or so, until the cheese is perfectly melted.
4. Time to get those steaks and lobster tails seasoned and grilled to perfection. Brush them with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Grill the steaks for around 4-5 minutes on each side for that perfect medium-rare doneness. As for the lobster tails, grill them flesh side down for about 5-6 minutes, then flip and cook until the shell is bright red and the flesh is opaque.
5. Don’t forget the asparagus! Toss them in a bit of olive oil, salt, and pepper. Grill them over medium heat for 2-3 minutes, turning them occasionally until they’re tender and delicious.
6. Plate up your masterpiece by arranging the steak, lobster tail, loaded baked potato, and asparagus. Top it all off with a sprinkle of fresh chives for a touch of color and freshness.
Notes
– Make sure to let your steaks rest for a few minutes before slicing into them to allow the juices to redistribute.
– Feel free to customize your loaded baked potatoes with your favorite toppings like green onions, jalapenos, or even a dollop of guacamole.
– If you don’t have a grill, you can also cook the steaks and lobster tails on a stovetop grill pan or under the broiler in the oven.
