Introduction

Welcome to a classic recipe straight from Grandma’s kitchen – Cajun Shrimp Scampi. This delicious dish is packed with flavor, easy to prepare, and sure to impress your family and friends. Let’s dive into the details and get cooking!

Ingredients

– 12 raw shrimps (feel free to add more if you love shrimp as much as I do!)
– 1 serving of pasta (linguine is my top choice)
– 2 cloves of garlic, minced
– 2 tablespoons of butter
– 1/2 cup of heavy cream
– Shredded parmesan cheese
– 1/8 teaspoon of basil
– Salt and pepper to taste
– Flour (for thickening)
– Cajun seasoning
– 1/4 cup of parsley
– White wine (optional)
– Olive oil

Instructions

1. Heat a saucepan over medium-high heat and add the butter, a drizzle of olive oil, and a splash of white wine. Let it come to a boil.
2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 2 minutes until fragrant.
3. Toss in the raw shrimps and sprinkle generously with Cajun seasoning.
4. Cook the shrimps until they turn pink on one side, then flip and cook for an additional minute. Remove the shrimps from the pan, leaving behind the flavorful liquid.
5. Pour in the heavy cream, basil, parsley, salt, and pepper. Bring the mixture to a boil.
6. Gradually whisk in flour to thicken the sauce to your desired consistency.
7. Reduce the heat to medium-low and return the shrimps to the pan. Coat them evenly with the sauce.
8. Serve the Cajun Shrimp Scampi over cooked pasta and sprinkle with shredded parmesan cheese.

Notes

Feel free to adjust the amount of Cajun seasoning according to your spice preference. You can also add more garlic for an extra kick of flavor. Don’t be afraid to get creative with this recipe and make it your own!
