Introduction

Who doesn’t love deliciously grilled wings infused with a perfect balance of sweet and spicy flavors? Our Grilled Sweet & Spicy Jerk Wings recipe is a mouthwatering delight that will leave you craving for more. Made with a combination of savory and aromatic spices, these wings are perfect for any occasion, whether it’s a casual get-together with friends or a weekend barbecue.

Ingredients

– 5 lb of Chicken Wings
– 1 tsp All Purpose Seasoning
– 1 tsp Chicken Seasoning
– 1 tsp Dry Rub Jerk Seasoning
– 1 tsp Onion Powder
– 1 tsp Garlic Powder
– 1 1/2 tsp Paprika
– Juice of half sour orange or 1 tbsp of sour orange mix
– 2 tsp Cornstarch
– 5 tbsp of wet Jerk seasoning (mild or spicy)
– 8 tbsp of Sweet & Spicy or Sweet & Savory sauce (I used Momofukuโ€™s Sweet & Savory Korean BBQ sauce)

Instructions

Alright, let’s get cooking! In a medium-sized bowl, let’s start by adding all the dry seasonings – all purpose seasoning, chicken seasoning, dry rub jerk seasoning, onion powder, garlic powder, and paprika. Squeeze in the sour orange juice and add the cornstarch. Give it a good mix until everything is well combined.

Next, it’s time to bring in the star of the show – the chicken wings! Massage the seasoning mixture onto the wings until each piece is nicely coated. If you’re using an indoor grill like me, preheat it to 375 degrees. Grill the wings for about 25 minutes on each side until they’re cooked to perfection.

Once the wings are done grilling, it’s time to add the finishing touch – the sweet and spicy sauce! Drizzle the sauce generously over the wings and get ready to indulge in a burst of flavors.

Notes

If you don’t have an indoor grill, don’t worry! You can still make these delicious wings in the oven. Simply preheat your oven to 375 degrees, cover the wings with aluminum foil, and bake them for 1 hour. After that, remove the foil, add the sauce on top of each wing, and bake them uncovered for an additional 15 minutes.
