Cajun Pasta Shrimp and Chicken

  • 8 oz fettuccine or your favorite pasta
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste)
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish


  1. Cook the Pasta:
    • Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Prepare the Shrimp and Chicken:
    • In a large skillet, heat 1 tbsp of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp, season with half of the Cajun seasoning, and cook until pink and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
    • In the same skillet, add another 1 tbsp of olive oil. Add the chicken, season with the remaining Cajun seasoning, and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside with the shrimp.
  3. Cook the Vegetables:
    • In the same skillet, add the sliced bell peppers and onion. Sauté until they begin to soften, about 5 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. Make the Sauce:
    • Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Bring the mixture to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Combine Everything:
    • Add the cooked pasta, shrimp, and chicken back into the skillet. Toss everything together to ensure it’s well coated with the sauce and heated through.
  6. Serve:
    • Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and a bit more grated Parmesan if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy!
