Bitec a la Mexicana
Ingredients:
2 lb Steak, any thin cut steak you can find will work, cut into 1 inch strips
2 tsp salt
2 tsp black pepper
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp onion powder
1 tsp seasoned salt
1 tbsp oil
3 jalapeño, thinly sliced (Use serranos for spicier option)
2 white onion, thinly sliced
5 roma tomato, 3 sliced into chunks, 2 diced into small

Queso Fresco
Tortillas
Limes

Directions:
Step 1
To whatever cut of thinly sliced steak you can get, cut into 1 inch strips.
2 lb Steak, any thin cut steak you can find will work, cut into 1 inch strips
Step 2
Season the steak with all of the seasonings.

2 tsp onion powder

Step 3
To a large skillet, add the oil, set to medium high heat, once hot, add in the steak and move it around into a single layer. Let cook undisturbed for 5-7 minutes.

Mix the steak around, cook for another 5 minutes, at this point it’s released some juices.
Step 5
Add in the thinly sliced onions & jalapeño strips. Cook stirring for 5 minutes.

2 white onion, thinly sliced

Add in the the 5 tomatoes, cook for about 10 more minutes total, the tomatoes will form a slightly thick sauce that coats the meat.
5 roma tomato, 3 sliced into chunks, 2 diced into small
Step 7
To serve, plate up the bistec a la Mexicana with rice & beans, tortilla on the side, and top with lime & salsa if you’d like.
